Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella discussed the evolution of human-computer symbiosis, starting with Vannevar Bushs vision of the Memex in 1945, and how it has progressed through seminal moments such as the graphical user interface and the iPhone. He then discussed the next generation of AI, which is fundamentally different from earlier versions and moves from autopilot to copilot. Nadella noted that AI must evolve responsibly with social, cultural, and legal norms in a democratic society. Microsofts Copilot for work, which uses natural language, was also introduced as a tool to free people from the drudgery of daily tasks and jobs.
